Zaporizhzhia Oblast Governor Ivan Fedorov announced on December 4 that the mayor of the occupied Dniprorudne town, Yevhenii Matvieiev, was tortured to death in Russian captivity. Matvieiev spent two years and eight months in captivity before his body was returned to Ukraine during a recent exchange.
