**Ukrainian Troops Withdraw from Some Positions in Donetsk Oblast**
The Ukrainian military has withdrawn its forces from one front-line sector in Donetsk Oblast to protect its troops and improve defense operations. This was reported by Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, the commander of a tactical group in the region.
Naiev said that the withdrawal allowed them not only to save their soldiers but also to improve their defense against Russian attacks. He emphasized that his forces had been working together effectively over the past month, with scouts, drone operators, artillery units, and infantry taking out more than 30 Russian armored vehicles and 2,000 Russian soldiers.
“This has significantly reduced the number of Russian attacks in our direction,” Naiev said.
**Which Front-Line Sector Was Withdrawn From?**
It is unclear which section of the front line was withdrawn from. The general mentioned that his leadership of the tactical group in Donetsk Oblast has now entered its second month.
Naiev noted that over the past month, Ukrainian forces had been working together effectively to destroy Russian armored vehicles and take out Russian soldiers. He said this had significantly reduced the number of Russian attacks in their direction.
**Withdrawal Was Carried Out in February**
According to Ukrainska Pravda’s sources, the withdrawal was carried out in February and concerned Ukrainian units in the area of the villages Dachne, Zelenivka, and Andriivka north of Velyka Novosilka. Kyiv‘s forces stationed there pulled back to avoid encirclement in the so-called Kurakhove pocket.
The Ukrainian military spokesperson declined to comment on this information.
