**‘s Largest Private Energy Company Invest $468 Million in Wind Power Plant**

DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, has announced plans to invest 450 million euros ($468 million) in expanding the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant near the coast. The is aimed at increasing the wind farm’s capacity fourfold.

**Damage from Attacks**

The company was severely affected by Russia’s aerial attacks on Ukraine’s power grid, with nearly 90% of its capacity lost in 2024. Despite this, DTEK has reached deal with lenders to purchase 64 wind turbines from manufacturer Vestas.

**Project Details**

The project involves expanding the facility from 19 to 83 turbines, which will increase the wind farm’s capacity from 114 megawatts (MW) to 500 MW. The project is expected to be completed by late 2026 and generate enough electricity to power 900,000 Ukrainian homes.

**Funding**

Of the 450-million-euro investment, 370 million euros ($385 million) will be financed through bank loans guaranteed by ‘s state-owned Export and Investment Fund (EIFO), with the remainder funded by DTEK.
