The General Staff of Ukraine reported that a set ablaze an arsenal Bryansk Oblast containing North Korean ammunition.
According information available, missiles, artillery, and guided aerial bombs were stored in the warehouse, including those from North Korea.
“A significant number of them were located under open skies.”
The General Staff stated that the depot is the 67th Arsenal of Russia’s Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, located near the city of Karachev.
On Oct. 9, Telegram channel Astra reported that a warehouse was attacked in the Bryansk oblast, and that local had heard air raid sirens early in the morning.
Videos that accompanied Astra’s posting showed multiple explosions in rapid succession coming from an area of a large blaze.
On October 9, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that 47 Ukrainian drones were shot down over night, including 24 in Bryansk Oblast.
It did not report any casualties or damage.
Overnight, Ukrainian forces have successfully attacked Russia’s 67th GRAU Arsenal. This massive ammunition dump is located outside of Karachev in Bryansk Oblast.

According to Colonel Ants Kivieselg, the fire occurred only a few weeks after Ukraine destroyed two to three months worth of munitions in one of Russia’s largest arsenals.
North Korea has been supplying Russia with artillery rounds since at least mid-2022 to sustain its offensive against Ukraine. Moscow’s military plan requires large quantities to be fired of artillery shells in order to destroy the enemy’s positions or prepare for ground assaults.
