**Ukrainian Drones Hit Russian Targets**
On January 29, Ukrainian drones attacked a major oil pumping station and a missile arsenal in Russia’s Tver Oblast. According to a source from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the filtration area and additive tanks at the oil pumping station were damaged.
The attack caused an oil spill and a fire at the station. The Russians had to shut down the main pipeline that supplies oil to the Ust-Luga terminal in Leningrad Oblast, the source said.
**Missile Arsenal Also Hit**
In addition to the oil pumping station, Ukrainian drones also hit the 23rd missile arsenal of the Russian Defense Ministry in Tver Oblast. The depot and three buildings of a military unit were damaged, according to the SBU source.
The reports could not be verified by The Kyiv Independent.
**Previous Attacks on Oil Refineries**
Earlier in the day, an intelligence source told the newspaper that multiple Ukrainian drones had struck a Lukoil oil refinery in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Ukraine considers oil refineries to be valid military targets, as profits from the fossil fuel industry fund Russia’s war machine.
In fact, earlier this week, a Russian oil refinery in Ryazan was forced to suspend operations due to damage from Ukrainian drone attacks, Reuters reported.
