Ukraine Receives First Batch of New Drone Missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the delivery of the first batch of new Peklo (Hell) drone missiles to the country’s Defense Forces. This is a significant milestone in Ukraine’s effort to produce its own weapons.
The use of drones in warfare has become important during the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. President Zelenskyy said earlier that Ukraine will increase its defense production, with plans to make at least 30,000 long-range drones and 3,000 missiles.
According to reports, the Peklo drone missiles have been developed and manufactured in Ukraine. They are now being produced on a large scale. “Our Ukrainian weapon with proven combat effectiveness,” President Zelenskyy wrote on social media. “Today, the first batch was delivered to our Defense Forces. The next step is to increase production and deployment.”
The Peklo drone missiles can travel up to 700 kilometers and reach speeds of 700 kilometers per hour. Military sources have confirmed that they have been used successfully in five combat situations, although details are not being released for security reasons.
This development comes after the successful use of another Ukrainian long-range drone missile, Palianytsia, against a military target in Russian-occupied Crimea in August.
