The growing military presence of North Korea in Russia is a significant step in the internationalization the . Newly intercepted communications reveal that Russia has been preparing for the deployment of additional North Korean units to the Kursk Oblast. This development, which has approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers already in Russia violates multiple UN Resolutions and also indicates a growing military alliance between Moscow & Pyongyang. According to Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (MDIA), these conversations relate to soldiers of 810th Independent marine Brigade of 18th Army of Russia’s Southern Military District who are taking part in combat in the Kursk Oblast.
