Ukrainian military confirms attack on Feodosia oil depot overnight

The Ukrainian have officially confirmed that they carried out an attack on an oil terminal in , which is currently under Russian occupation. The attack took place overnight on October 7th and was accompanied by reports of explosions and a fire at the facility.

The Feodosia terminal is the largest in Crimea and is used to transport oil products, which are used by the Russian army. According to the Staff of the Ukrainian Army, they successfully struck the enemy’ marine oil terminal in Feodosia last night. The extent of the damage is still being investigated.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported a on the oil depot. Local residents also reported hearing powerful explosions around 4:30 am, followed by a fire. The Russian-installed authorities in Crimea confirmed an incident at the oil depot, but referred to it as a “fire.” Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor to the Kremlin-appointed head of the occupied peninsula, stated that there were no or injuries.

The Telegram channel identified the facility as JSC’s “Marine Oil Terminal” and noted that it had previously been attacked by drones in March . The Russian Defense claimed to have shot down 21 drones overnight, including 12 over Crimea. However, ASTRA reported that the ministry’s morning did not mention the ongoing fire at the Feodosia oil depot.
