**Ukrainians React to Joe Rogan’s Comments on Ukraine**
Joe Rogan, a popular American podcaster, has sparked outrage in Ukraine after making comments that Kyiv and its Western allies are “about to start World War III.”
Rogan made the statement during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience last Friday. He criticized President Biden’s administration for allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range missiles. However, many Ukrainians see things differently.
**People in Kyiv Share Their Thoughts**
The Kyiv Independent spoke to several people on the streets of Kyiv and asked them what they thought about Rogan’s comments. Natalia Romanets, a purchasing manager, said: “Let him come to Kyiv, let him come to Ukraine, see everything with his own eyes, and then make some conclusions.” She also pointed out that Americans are typically polite but found Rogan’s comments to be offensive.
Albina Volobuieva, a sales worker, shared similar views. She said: “We didn’t call them (Russia), we didn’t start this war, and we didn’t want it. We were living peaceful lives in Ukraine.” Volobuieva believes that negotiations should only end with the recognition of Ukraine as a sovereign entity.
Many others also expressed their discontent with Rogan’s comments. They pointed out that Russia has launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and it is not Kyiv or its Western allies who are starting World War III.
