**US to Continue Supporting Ukraine**
The United States will keep helping Ukraine with security. This was said by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on February 13. He spoke together with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
**NATO Takes a Bigger Role**
Umerov said that the US is still sending help, but NATO will be in charge of military training and assistance for Ukraine now. This comes at a time when there’s uncertainty about how much support the US will give to Ukraine.
**Importance of Military Help**
Rutte believes it’s very important to keep giving military aid to Ukraine. He thinks this will make Ukraine stronger, especially if they have peace talks with Russia in the future.
**Meetings and Talks**
Umerov was speaking before a meeting between Ukraine and NATO countries. This meeting is called the NATO-Ukraine Council. It started on February 13 in Brussels.
**Previous Meetings**
On February 12, Umerov met with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. They talked about military aid for Ukraine. But Hegseth wasn’t there to make new promises of help. He was just listening to what others had to say.
