UN Report: Georgian Population to decline by nearly half

Since 2023, however, the is increasing, increasing by 0.7% in comparison to 2022. This brings the population up to 3,807 490 people.
The UN says that the Georgian population is expected to drop by almost half in 40 years if the current rate does not change. The UN estimates that the population will continue to decline with the current birth rates and immigration rates. By 2050, this rate will be -0.55%.
If these forecasts are accurate then the following interpretations could be made:
* By 2025 the Georgian population is expected to reach 3,806,670.
* By 2030, 3 748 350.
By 2040, there will be 3,576,930.
* By 2050: 3,393,665.
The World Population Review, which is based on a UN analytical , offers possible explanations for the issue. These include the preference for baby boy, leading to excessive abortions and financial difficulties that prevent families from having more children.
The World Population Review stated that “one of the ways to solve population stagnation would be to provide social benefits and assistance to families with multiples children as well pregnant .”
