Incident at Parliament Election Meeting
A man threw ink at the leader of Georgia’s election commission yesterday. This happened during a meeting where the results of recent parliamentary elections were being discussed.
The person who threw the ink, Davit Kirtadze, is part of a coalition called Unity-National Movement. He was arguing with Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the head of the election commission. The leader turned off Kirtadze’s microphone after they started shouting at each other.
The meeting was stopped for several minutes while people tried to calm things down.
