Regional authorities reported that Russian attacks in Ukraine have killed at least 3 people and injured at lease 28 others, including a young child, over the last day.
The Air Force reported that Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 59 of 116 Shahed attack drones launched overnight by Russia. According to reports, 45 drones “lost” in Ukraine and 10 others were still present at the time of publication.
Russia also attacked Ukraine using an Iskander-M ballistic missile or North Korean KN-23, one Kh-35 and one Kh-31P guided missile.
Overnight, Russia launched drones at Kyiv. All of them were destroyed. The city authorities reported that one man suffered facial burns.
Serhii Lisak, the Governor of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, reported that a Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih late on October 20 injured four people. A 12-year-old girl and two women, aged 63 and 35, were among the victims. Fourteen cars, a hotel, five multistory buildings, an arts facility, a banking institution, two shops and a cultural center were all damaged.

Oleksandr PROKUDIN, the regional governor, said that two people were injured by Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast. Two high-rises, 23 houses, an agricultural building, cars, and a farm were damaged.
Regional authorities reported that on October 20, Russia launched drone attacks against the Shalyhyne Community in Sumy Oblast, killing one resident. Overnight attacks on the region caused blackouts across several settlements.
Ivan Fedorov, the Governor of Zaporizhzhia, reported that six people were injured in an attack by Russia on Zaporizhzhia early on Oct. 21.
Cherkasy oblast, Khmelnytskyi oblast, Luhansk oblast, Mykolaiv oblast, Odesa oblast, Vinnytsia oblast, Chernihiv oblast, Poltava oblast, and Kirovohrad oblast were also attacked. No casualties have been reported.
