**Russia-Ukraine War Updates: December 9, 2024**
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has reached its 120th day. The Ukrainian military reported that the situation at the front remains difficult due to Russia’s superiority in manpower and equipment.
**Enemy Attacks Continue**
Over the past 24 hours, there were 191 combat clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces. The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles on Ukrainian positions and settlements, as well as 14 air strikes dropping 25 KABs. They also carried out over 3,000 attacks, including 92 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 1,599 kamikaze drones.
**Ukrainian Defense Repels Attacks**
The Ukrainian military repelled the enemy’s assault actions in various areas. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions five times. In the Kupyansk direction, there were eight attacks, which were also repelled by Ukrainian forces. The Lyman direction saw 28 attacks, while the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions had three and eight attacks respectively.
**Ukrainian Forces Inflict Significant Losses**
Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted significant losses on Russian invaders. A total of 1,220 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded, including 540 irretrievable losses. Ukrainian forces also neutralized 18 armored combat vehicles, 3 artillery systems, and other equipment.
