**Day 1,121 of Russian Invasion: Latest Updates**
March 21, 2025 – The situation on the ground remains tense as Russia continues its large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
**Enemy Attacks**
Over the past day, there were 166 combat clashes across various fronts. Ukrainian forces recorded two missile strikes using three missiles and 94 air strikes that dropped 151 KABs. Additionally, Russian forces carried out 6,449 attacks, including 187 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and used around 3,000 kamikaze drones.
**Regional Breakdown**
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted to break through defensive lines near Kindrashivka, Malaya Shapkivka, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk. In the Kupyansk direction, there were eight attacks by Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in Pishchany, Ivanivka, Kruglyakivka, Zagryzove, and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 22 times and attempted to penetrate defenses in Novy, Novomykhailivka, and Yampolivka. In the Siversky direction, there were three attempts to advance in Bilogorivka, Verkhnokamyansky, and Ivano-Daryivka.
Our defenders successfully repelled 53 assault actions of Russian forces in the Pokrovsky direction. They also stopped 18 assault actions in the Kupyansk direction and thwarted four attacks in the Kramatorsk direction.
**Russian Losses**
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces neutralized around 1,330 Russian soldiers. The losses included 17 tanks, 28 armored combat vehicles, 101 artillery systems, two MLRS, an air defense system, 185 operational-tactical UAVs, 165 vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system.

From February 24, 2022 to March 21, 2025, the estimated total combat losses of Russian forces include:
