**EU Stays Open to Georgia**
The European Union‘s leader, Ursula von der Leyen, has spoken out on social media. She said the EU is sad that Georgia didn’t choose to join them.
In a post on X, she wrote: “We are sorry that Georgia chose not to join us.”
**Support for the Georgian People**
Ursula von der Leyen also showed her support for the people of Georgia. She said they want to be part of Europe and have a European future.
“We stand by the Georgian people and their choice,” she wrote.
**The Door is Still Open**
Even though Georgia didn’t join, Ursula von der Leyen reminded them that the door to the EU is still open.
