EU Supports Georgia‘s Democratic Values
The European Union is standing by the people of Georgia. This was stated by Dubravka Šuica, Vice President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography.
Šuica said this in a debate in the European Parliament about Georgia. She spoke on behalf of Kaja Kallas, the EU‘s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The EU will help civil society groups and independent media in Georgia. This is to ensure they can keep working during a difficult time. The EU also wants to improve its communication with Georgians.
Šuica emphasized that the EU supports the Georgian people strongly. She also said the EU wants to remind the government of Georgia, known as Georgian Dream, of the consequences of their actions.
