MEP Viola von Cramon replied to President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili‘s speech at the European Parliament by tweeting that it was a breath fresh air to hear a high level Georgian official represent the European will of 90% Georgians.
“What a breath-of-fresh air to hear a high level Georgian official represent the European will of 90% Georgians. Dear President Zurabishvili. We in the European parliament strongly stand with both you and your people for Georgia’s European future,” tweeted Cramon.
Zurabishvili spoke about the 12-point recommendations of the European Union. She said that the recommendations are not strange to Georgia but represent its cultural, heritage, and value choices. “Accordingly what you ask from us is that Georgia remain loyal to its own identity.”
