From September 30, 2024, citizens of Georgia will be able to travel to Hong Kong without a visa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced this news, stating that the decision was made by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
According to the agreement, Georgian citizens will be allowed to stay in Hong Kong for up to 30 consecutive days without a visa. This achievement was the result of active efforts by both parties.
It is important to note that Georgian citizens have been able to travel to mainland China without a visa since May 28, 2024. However, Hong Kong, as a special administrative region, has its own independent immigration and visa policy.
This new development will make it easier for Georgian citizens to travel to Hong Kong for business or tourism purposes. It also reflects the strong relationship between Georgia and Hong Kong.
