Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the new EU envoy for Belgrade-Pristina talks, Peter Sørensen. This was their first meeting.
Vucic said on Instagram that he showed Sorensen the problems faced by people in Kosovo and Metohija. He expressed concern about how difficult it is for Serbs to live there due to actions taken by Pristina.
Vucic accused the Kosovo authorities of trying to hinder the EU-facilitated dialogue. He said they refused to form a Community of Serb Municipalities, which he believes is necessary for normal relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
Vucic wants the EU to take a more active role in the talks to keep them credible and impartial. He thinks only constructive dialogue can lead to peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
