**Serbian President Rejects Teachers’ Strike**
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that there will be no general strike in schools. He made this statement after teachers had been reducing their working hours from 45 to 30 minutes, a form of strike allowed by law.
Vucic accused the teachers of preferring blockades while getting paid in full. He claimed that school principals would be replaced if needed and that dismissing everyone was against the law. He also said that university exams will take place eventually.
**Teachers’ Demands**
The teachers have been on a form of strike, reducing their working hours, demanding better working conditions and pay raises. Vucic said he had accepted all their demands but claimed their representatives reneged on the agreements, suggesting someone else was directing them.
**University Exams**
Vucic mentioned that university exams, which were postponed due to protests, will have to take place at some point. He joked that there wouldn’t be exams and that students wouldn’t get beaten or universities broken into like in 1968.
