**US Wants Ukraine’s President to Apologize**
The US government wants Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to say sorry for a public clash with President Donald Trump at the White House.
This came from Mike Waltz, the head of national security for the US. He said that what they need to hear from President Zelensky is that he regrets the argument, and that he’s ready to sign a deal on Ukraine’s minerals.
The clash happened when Zelensky visited the White House to finalize an agreement between the US and Ukraine on developing Ukraine’s mineral resources.
However, the meeting turned into a public row with President Trump and Vice-President JD Vance criticizing Zelensky. The Ukrainian president left without signing the deal.
**US Officials Criticize Zelensky**
Some US officials have been critical of Zelensky since the incident. They say he’s not serious about peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said that President Zelensky needs to “come back to the table in gratitude” or someone else should lead the country.
Ukraine’s allies, including European countries, have come out in support of Zelensky. They say they believe in his commitment to peace talks with Russia.
**Russia Attacks Ukraine**
Meanwhile, Russian forces have continued to attack Ukraine. They launched 83 drones at Ukraine overnight.
There are also reports that Russian troops are trying to enter Ukrainian territory.
The US and its allies are calling for a ceasefire between the two countries.
