**UN Chief Demands End to Attacks Gaza Hospitals**

The ‘s chief, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has called for an immediate stop to attacks on hospitals in Gaza.

Dr. Tedros said that hospitals in Gaza are being used as battlegrounds and the health system is under severe threat. He made this statement after forces raided the Kamal Adwan , forcing its evacuation.

The Israeli military claimed that the hospital was a stronghold and that troops killed around 20 “terrorists” during the raid. However, Hamas has dismissed these claims as lies with no evidence to support them.

**Hospital Attacks Continue**

Two hospitals in were also attacked on Sunday. The Israeli military said that two of the sites used by Hamas were targeted, but Dr. Tedros warned that the health system is facing severe threats.

Dr. Tedros called for the immediate release of Dr. Hussam Ab Safiya’s director at Kamal Adwan hospital, who was detained by Israeli forces. MedGlobal, a US-based organization, condemned the detention as unfair and a violation of international humanitarian .

**Patients Detained**

Four patients were detained while being transferred to another hospital during the chaos in Gaza’s northern region. One of the patients is in a critical state, and 10 medical staff and seven patients remain at an Indonesian hospital.

The Israeli military launched an offensive on the ground in several towns in northern Gaza, claiming to be stopping Hamas’s regrouping. The UN claims that the area is under a near-total blockade and that humanitarian has been denied for more than eleven weeks.

**Red Cross Warns of Grave Risk**

The International of the Red Cross warned that hostilities around and in hospitals had “obliterated the health care system in northern Gaza,” putting civilians at risk of not receiving life-saving treatment.
