The ‘Women in Business: Economic Forum’, organized by the local association of business women ‘Women for Tomorrow,’ with support from Gazelle Finance, Visa, and other sponsors, took place in Tbilisi on September 24, 2018.
The forum was a chance for women entrepreneurs to talk about domestic challenges they face. Government officials, such as Irakli Nadareishvili (Deputy Economy Minister of Georgia), along with representatives from NGOs and financial institutions, were also present.
In the course of the conference, several important topics were addressed, including the lack of funds available for women entrepreneurs in Georgia, and the associated opportunities and difficulties. The sessions were conducted in a format of question and answer, with representatives from ‘Women for Tomorrow” as well as other notable individuals.
