**Ukrainian Official to Meet with Trump Team**
Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, will visit the United States on December 4. He will lead a Ukrainian delegation in meetings with members of President-elect Donald Trump’s team.
The delegation includes Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The group will meet with several US officials during their visit.
**Trump’s New Approach**
Trump has promised to end the US involvement in Russia’s war in Ukraine and negotiate a quick peace deal. However, Ukrainian officials have urged him to maintain support for Ukraine and adopt a “peace through strength” approach when dealing with Russia.
**Key Meeting**
The main purpose of Yermak’s trip is to meet with Trump’s team. He will discuss Trump’s policy towards Ukraine and their vision for a peace plan with Keith Kellogg, Trump’s nominee for special envoy to Ukraine and Russia.
Kellogg will play a key role in shaping future negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow. He has co-authored a peace plan that would freeze the front line in Ukraine, take NATO’s accession off the table, and partially lift sanctions against Russia.
**What’s Next?**
According to Kellogg’s proposals, the US will continue sending military aid to Ukraine and provide security guarantees to prevent further Russian aggression. The Ukrainian delegation will meet with several US officials during their visit.
