He announced on social media that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Croatia, on October 9, to meet with Croatian Premier Andrey Plenovich and take part in the third “Ukraine-South East Europe” Summit.
During the previous summit, which took place in early 2024 participants signed a declaration of support for Kyiv and denounced Russian aggression.
The summit will bring together leaders and foreign ministers from Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro and North Macedonia as well as Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania.
Zelensky stated that the talks will be centered around achieving peace, Ukraine’s path to NATO, the EU and reconstruction of Ukraine.

During their bilateral meeting, the two leaders will also likely discuss a number of issues including defense cooperation.
Zelensky said, “We will discuss with Prime Minister Plenkovich the continuation of defense co-operation, the rehabilitation of soldiers who were injured on the front lines, as well about the reconstruction in Ukraine.”
Ukraine’s independent press has made great strides since 2014’s EuroMaidan Revolution, but there are concerns since Russia’s full scale invasion.
