**Ukraine and US Discuss Restoring Nuclear Plant**
President Volodymyr Zelensky talked to US President Donald Trump about getting help from the US in restoring a nuclear plant in Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia plant is the biggest one in Europe, but it’s currently occupied by Russian forces.
Zelensky said he wants to get the plant working again within 1.5 to 2.5 years so it can provide electricity and money for people. He thinks this will help Ukraine become more self-sufficient.
Trump suggested that the US could be helpful in running the plant, and that American ownership would make it safer. Zelensky agreed to discuss this idea further.
**Russia Continues to Attack Ukraine**
Russian forces are still occupying about 20% of Ukraine. They have been attacking cities and towns, including Kropyvnytskyi, where Governor Andrii Raikovych reported that Russia launched a large attack overnight on March 20.
There were reports of systematic repression, torture, and forced deportations in occupied territories. The Ukrainian government has asked Russia to leave the Zaporizhzhia plant and other areas, but so far they have refused.

A new shipment of Western F-16 fighter jets arrived in Ukraine on March 19. President Zelensky confirmed this during a briefing with journalists.
The US has also agreed to provide additional air defense systems, including Patriot missile systems, to protect Ukrainian civilians. This was discussed between Trump and Zelensky during their phone call.
