**Zelensky May Meet Trump at Notre-Dame Cathedral Reopening in Paris**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may meet U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on December 7 during his visit to Paris for the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral, according to AFP.
About 50 heads of state and government will attend the event, which marks the end of a two-year reconstruction period after a fire in 2019. Trump’s trip to Paris is his first foreign visit since winning the U.S. presidential election.
Zelensky and Macron are expected to meet during the event, with other meetings also possible, including one with President-elect Donald Trump. The Ukrainian president previously met with Trump on September 27 in New York, when he presented his victory plan.
**Russian Aggression Continues**
Meanwhile, Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia on December 6, killing nine people and injuring 17, including two children. Another attack was reported in Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with two dead and 16 injured.
Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has asked Russia to deploy missile systems in Belarus, which have been used to strike Ukraine.
**Ukraine’s Military Situation**
Russia launched 53 Shahed-type drones from Orel overnight on December 6. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the drone attacks were repelled.
The Russian military has also faced significant casualties, with an estimated total of 45,690 soldiers lost in November alone.
**International Support for Ukraine**
In response to Russia’s aggression, the U.S. is sending hundreds of thousands of artillery rounds, thousands of rockets, and hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine before mid-January. The U.S. also offered to train Ukrainian soldiers at sites beyond Ukrainian territory.
The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) has expressed concerns over Musk’s “contacts with Russia and the alleged use of his Starlink system by Russian forces in Ukraine.”
