Zelensky left Washington early without signing a mineral deal with the United States. The two leaders had a tense argument in front of journalists, which led to Trump reportedly ordering his officials to tell the Ukrainian delegation to leave the White House.

Despite the clash between Zelensky and Trump, several European leaders have reaffirmed their support for Ukraine and President Zelensky. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas emphasized the EU’s commitment to helping Ukraine resist Russian aggression.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has also shown strong support for Ukraine. He announced plans to send British troops to Ukraine to secure a “good deal” on ending Russia’s war. The UK and France are considering deploying a European-led peacekeeping force with up to 30,000 soldiers.
