**Russian Propaganda Influencing American Leadership**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed concern that Russian propaganda is successfully influencing some leaders in the White House. In an interview with Time magazine, Zelensky said that some people in the White House are starting to trust Russian President Vladimir Putin’s word more than their own intelligence.
**Russian Narrative in the US**
According to Zelensky, Russia has been spreading misinformation about Ukraine‘s willingness to end the war. The narrative suggests that Ukrainians do not want to stop fighting and that something needs to be done to force them. This propaganda campaign has led to a freeze on military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
**US Criticized for Supporting Russia**
The decision to suspend military aid has been met with criticism from members of President Trump’s own party, including Senator Lindsey Graham. Graham said that pulling aid from Ukraine would be worse than Afghanistan. Additionally, US special envoy Steve Witkoff has openly parroted Russian propaganda and agreed with most of the Kremlin’s talking points.
**Russian Narrative on Encirclement**
Zelensky also pointed out that Trump’s comments about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in Kursk Oblast were a lie. This narrative was part of Russia’s attempts to undermine Ukraine’s position and justify further military action.
