**Ukraine to Get More F-16 Fighter Jets from the Netherlands**
President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine will keep getting F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands. He emphasized that these planes are crucial for keeping Ukrainian airspace safe.
After meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Zelensky said that closing and securing the sky over Ukraine is a top priority. He thanked the Netherlands for its ongoing help and commitment to increasing military aid. Zelensky stressed that strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities is important not just for Ukraine’s security but also for European stability.
Several countries have already given F-16s to Ukraine. The Netherlands has committed 24 planes, with the first batch arriving in summer 2024. Denmark pledged 19 F-16s and delivered them in 2024. Norway promised between 6 and 22 aircraft. Belgium also said it will supply F-16s, but didn’t give a specific number.
Zelensky reiterated Ukraine’s position that international negotiations should involve all parties, saying “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing about Europe without Europe.”
