Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, said in his daily address on November 9 that Ukraine has produced its 100th missile.
After the Russian invasion in February 2022, Ukraine began actively developing their missile program. Zelensky stated that the program was “dynamic” in late July.
In August, he announced that Ukraine had successfully tested its first ballistic missile made domestically.
Ukraine has been working on a ballistic rocket, the Hrim-2, for several years. Although nothing has been confirmed, speculation has spread that this is the ballistic missile Zelensky referred to.
Zelensky revealed earlier that Ukraine had also developed a missile-drone Palianytsia.
Zelensky, speaking on Nov. 9, said he wouldn’t give “any further details” as to the type of missiles that he was referring too. He praised Ukraine’s weapons production.
“This year, we have achieved significant achievements in a number of sectors. He said, “There is our Ukrainian artillery – our ammunition and guns.”
“There are drones – different types, for different missions – that not only help the battlefield defend positions and destroy the occupier but also strike deeper and deeper into Russia. We’ll keep building on this.”
Ukraine’s defence strategy is based on the use of long-range weapons produced domestically, as Western partners will not authorize deep strikes against Russia using foreign-made missiles.
Despite Zelensky’s appeal to Washington, during his recent White House Visit, the U.S. policy on long-range attacks has not yet changed.
A senior adviser to Donald Trump said that Ukraine needed to be “realistic,” in its goals for war, and added that the peninsula of Crimea, occupied by Russia, was “gone.”
British defense intelligence estimates that Russia has suffered more than 696,00 losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The memorandum will establish over 100 industrial park across Ukraine, affecting the lives of 2,5 million citizens and helping to create “hypermodern” cities.
