The President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine now produces nearly 20 Bohdana auto-propelled artillery systems monthly.
In a video message he delivered on October 30 after his visit to the Ukraine/Nordic Summit Zelensky highlighted that the “Danish Model” is a partnership which allows Ukraine to secure funding specifically from its allies for its defense production.
“…The Danish Model allows us to attract financing from our partners in Ukrainian defence production. Zelensky said that we are now producing almost 20 artillery pieces a month, and have made significant progress in other areas.
Denmark was the first country to offer arms to Ukraine through direct purchases made from the Ukrainian defense industry. Kyiv‘s defense budget is not able to match the capacity of the domestic weapons production.
“And there’s still more to come: Shells, equipment and drones – all we need. “I want to thank everyone who has helped us,” said the president.
The 2S22 Bohdana, a self-propelled truck mounted howitzer, has a 42-kilometer range of fire. Its “shoot-and-scoot” ability gives it a significant edge over towed gun artillery. Bohdana is more survivable on the battlefield than towed artillery, which can be detected by the enemy after firing.
Authorities said that the attack destroyed the entrance from the first to fifth floors of a nine-story building. At least two people, including a young child, were killed and 34 others were injured.

The European Commission recently praised Ukraine for its progress on important reforms, such as those related to the judiciary system, rule of law and anti-corruption. However, it stressed that further reforms were still needed.
Following the suspension of operations at Arctic LNG 2, Russian LNG tankers have gathered off Russia’s east coast, indicating that Moscow has been unable to find buyers.
Serhii dobriak, the head of the Pokrovsk Military Administration, said: “Fortifications will be built in Pokrovsk and we have already entered the city. Certain areas of the town will be blocked so please leave those areas and don’t enter or leave the city.”

The European Commission cited recent legislative amendments affecting the election process. It also cited frequent compromises made on the secrecy of votes, procedural inconsistencies and intimidation. These have all negatively affected public trust in the electoral process.
Brussels expects Ukraine’s broadcasters to return their work to the format of the pre-war period, and questions the telethon’s objectivity.
The White House announced on October 17 that the next Ramstein format meeting would be held virtually in November, prior to Volodymyr Zelensky’s announcement.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department, the recent restrictions are applied to companies that are involved in networks of sanctions evasion in 17 jurisdictions including China, India Malaysia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand and Turkey.
Serhii derkach, Deputy Communities and Territories Minister, presented a step-bystep plan for the partial reopening Ukraine’s airspace during a conference held in Warsaw.
