**Ukraine Warns of War Loss if US Funding Cuts**
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has told Fox News that his country will lose the war against Russia if the United States, its main military backer, cuts funding.
Zelensky said it would be “very dangerous” to lose unity in Europe and that unity between Ukraine and the US was crucial. He added that if the US pulls its support, Ukraine’s production and resources are not enough to prevail or even survive.
**US Involvement**
US President-elect Donald Trump has promised to end US involvement in wars and use taxpayer money for domestic improvements. Zelensky said it would be difficult but possible for Trump to influence Russian leader Vladimir Putin to end the war, as he believes Putin is weaker than the US.
Zelensky also praised the strength of the US President, saying they have authority, weapons, and the power to decrease energy prices.
**Ukraine’s Struggles**
Ukraine is facing a “very difficult period” on the battlefield, according to Zelensky. The Russian military has accelerated its gains along the front line, seizing six times more territory in 2024 than it did in 2023.
Recent footage and reports show Russian forces taking control of around 2,700 square kilometers of Ukrainian land this year, compared to just 465 square kilometers last year.
**Ukraine’s Offensives Falter**
A surprise incursion into Russia’s Kursk region by Ukraine has faltered as Russian troops have pushed Kyiv’s offensive backwards.
Zelensky also criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for speaking with Putin on the phone, saying it would increase pressure on Putin and open a “Pandora’s box”.
