President Volodymyr Zelensky said on November 25 that Ukraine is monitoring threats from Russian troops in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This comes after a report by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
**Russian Attacks Continue**
Russia has been carrying out intense attacks in several sections of the eastern front. The goal is to break through Ukraine’s defenses and take control of key towns, including Pokrovsk and Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast. Zelensky described the situation near Kurakhove as “the most difficult.”
**Ukraine Works to Strengthen Positions**
The president said that Ukrainian soldiers are working hard to strengthen their positions in various areas. This includes holding ground in Kursk Oblast, where Russian forces have been attempting to break through Ukraine’s defenses for nearly four months.
**North Korea Sends Troops to Russia**
Last week, Reuters reported that over 40% of the territory captured by Ukrainian forces in a Russian region had been lost due to Moscow’s counterattacks. To aid their war effort, North Korea has sent 10,000 troops to Russia, with most of them deployed in Kursk Oblast.
