**US and Ukraine to Meet in Saudi Arabia for Peace Talks**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a meeting between Ukrainian and US officials is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia soon. This comes after a phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 18, where they agreed to a partial ceasefire on energy infrastructure strikes.
**Ceasefire Agreement**
The agreement, which Zelensky and Trump discussed over the phone on March 19, means that Ukraine will stop attacking Russia’s energy infrastructure. However, it is not clear if this will lead to an overall ceasefire in the conflict.
**New Talks Scheduled**
Zelensky said that Ukrainian and American teams are ready to meet in Saudi Arabia to continue working towards peace. He also mentioned that they would work on “technical issues” related to the partial ceasefire.
**Previous Meeting**
The two sides last met in Saudi Arabia on March 11, where Ukraine agreed to a US proposal for a complete ceasefire. However, Russia did not agree to this proposal.
**Other Developments**
Russia launched an attack on Kropyvnytskyi in Kirovohrad Oblast overnight on March 20, injuring eight people. A new shipment of Western F-16 fighter jets has arrived in Ukraine, and the European Union plans to supply Ukraine with at least 2 million shells annually.
**US Support**
The US is focused on achieving a lasting ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. President Trump also agreed to provide additional air defense systems to protect Ukrainian civilians.
