At a press conference held in Croatia on October 9, Volodymyr Zelensky said that he would be meeting with the leaders of Britain, Germany, France and Italy the following day.
The president said that Zelensky would hold talks with key partners who are dependent on the military component for Ukraine’s strengthening.
“I will meet separately with the leaders of Britain France and Germany in each country. I will be quick, and then present the victory plan to our partners in Ramstein,” he said.
Biden was shown the five-point plan during Zelensky’s visit to the U.S. at the end of September. Kyiv had planned to present it to other world leaders at a Ramstein-format summit in Germany later this month, but the summit has been postponed because U.S. president Joe Biden canceled his overseas trip.
Reuters reported that Zelensky, as part of his European Tour, is expected to meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on October 10, citing two anonymous sources.
Ukraine’s President will also meet Pope Francis. He was previously criticized by the media for his controversial remarks about Russia and for calling for Ukraine to fly a white flag.
