Before the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky had a good phone call with US President Donald Trump. He also met with US Vice President JD Vance and State Secretary Marco Rubio. These meetings were an important step in building relationships between Ukraine and the US.
**Stronger Partnership Needed**
Zelensky believes that a strong partnership between Ukraine and the US is necessary to stop conflicts and ensure lasting peace. He said that the two countries are working together on creating a “special agreement” that will strengthen both nations.
**Warning Against Manipulation**
However, Zelensky also warned against attempts by Russian President Vladimir Putin to manipulate the situation. He stressed the importance of joint efforts between Ukraine, the US, and Europe to achieve real peace.
