**North Korean Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Russia**
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine has warned the international community about the dangers of Russia and North Korea‘s growing military cooperation.
In a statement, President Zelenskyy said that over 3,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded while fighting in Kursk Oblast, Russia. This information was confirmed by John Kirby, spokesperson for the US National Security Council, on December 16.
Ukraine’s top military leaders met to discuss the situation in Kursk Oblast. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, expressed concerns that North Korea might send more soldiers and equipment to support Russia.
President Zelenskyy has vowed that Ukraine will take “substantial responses” to the increased presence of North Korean forces in Russia.
