US Aid to Ukraine in Jeopardy?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to talk to US President-elect Donald Trump about aid for Ukraine. This comes after Trump said he wants to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Zelenskyy met with journalists in Brussels before a meeting of European leaders on December 19. He announced plans to discuss Ukraine’s future support with Trump, who takes office on January 20.
Trump has promised to cut US aid to Ukraine. When asked about this, Zelenskyy said he wants to talk it over with Trump and find out what will happen next.
The US President-elect is pushing for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. He believes these talks can bring an end to the ongoing war.
