Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, posted a message on his Telegram channel on 30 October that only 10% of $61 billion in US aid approved in April had been received by Ukraine. In an interview with Icelandic journalists, he expressed his frustration at the slow delivery.
The US is still Ukraine’s biggest donor, having contributed more than $64.1billion since Russia’s invasion of 2022. Germany is Ukraine’s second largest weapons supplier. The delay in aid delivery comes at a time when Ukraine is facing continued Russian military pressure as well as potential North Korean involvement.
