Ukraine Still Waiting for Patriot Systems
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has not yet received the air defense systems promised by NATO in July. He made this statement during an interview with Ukrainian journalists.
The president considered it a positive step that NATO agreed to send five more Patriot systems. However, he noted that these systems have not arrived yet. Zelenskyy believes that NATO’s support for Ukraine’s membership is clear and supported by all member countries.
Ukraine Needs More Help
Zelenskyy previously stated that Ukraine needs at least 10-12 additional Patriot systems. He said that this would ensure the country’s survival and make it difficult for Russian forces to attack Ukrainian civilians. The president believes that if Ukraine’s skies are fully protected, Russia will lose its aerial superiority.
The situation with the Patriots is still unclear, but Zelenskyy remains optimistic about NATO’s support.
