Opposition Leaders Stand Firm Amid Crackdown Threats
The leaders of four opposition parties in Georgia are not intimidated by the possibility of office raids or arrests, according to Zura Japaridze. He made this statement after a meeting with other party leaders.
Japaridze is one of the leaders of the “Coalition for Change“. The coalition, along with three other opposition groups, has recently crossed the threshold and gained official status in the country.
Japaridze called on protesters to continue their demonstrations even if all the politicians are arrested. He promised that his group would provide help, including legal aid, to those who are detained.
“We will not stop fighting,” Japaridze said. “The government is at a crossroads now. We will see who is brave and who is afraid.”
