Japaridze told journalists about his concerns. He said that these kinds of changes have happened before in Georgia’ history. He believes that the goal is to make it easy for people who agree with them to join the police, and to get rid of those who disagree with them from jobs.

According to Japaridze, the changes will allow the to hire anyone they want into the police without competition. They will also be able to decide how to hire new staff members on their own.
