**President Zurabishvili on Georgia’s Future**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, says the ruling Georgian Dream party might call new elections themselves. If not, she believes the “regime will collapse”.
In an interview with Formula TV, Zurabishvili said that during her visit to the Munich Security Conference, she urged international partners to help organize new elections in a way that would prevent fraud.
**The Opposition and New Elections**
Zurabishvili is working with the opposition, lawyers, and other groups to define how future elections should be conducted. She stressed that the Georgian Dream party has not been recognized by any foreign actors, and those who do recognize it are doing so for “ideological reasons”.
**Pressure on GD**
The President said that the Georgian Dream party is under pressure from both ongoing domestic protests and external factors, including non-recognition and sanctions. Business circles seen as key supporters of Bidzina Ivanishvili have sent messages saying they are not what people think they are.
This suggests that sanctions are already taking a toll on them. Zurabishvili noted that this shows sanctions work even before they are introduced.
**The Call to Action**
Zurabishvili called on society to take to the streets en masse on February 25, the day the Soviet regime was established in Georgia in 1921.
