Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, said in an interview with Nordic media in October that the Ukrainian forces never intended seizing the Kursk nuclear plant in Russia’s Kursk Oblast after Ukraine’s incursion in the region in early august.
Since the beginning of the Ukrainian incursion into Kursk Oblast in Kursk Oblast (which Ukraine has flatly denied), Moscow has accused Kyiv repeatedly of attacking or intending to attack the plant.
“Russia believes they are very powerful, but if we had wanted to seize the nuclear power plant in Kursk, we would have done so, we could do it, but we didn’t want to. We understand that this would mean becoming like Russia,” Zelensky stated.
“We do not occupy their critical infrastructure as they did at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.”
According to DeepState, the plant is located approximately 40 kilometers (25 mi) from the Ukrainian positions in Kursk Oblast.
The president said that the purpose of the Kursk operations was to create a buffer to protect the Ukrainian border.
The Ukraine launched its cross border incursion into Kursk Oblast in August, claiming that it had initially seized 1,300 square kilometers.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, said on October 10 that Moscow had transferred around 50,000 troops from other sectors to the front.
NATO and the Pentagon have confirmed that North Korean troops could soon join the Russian military on this frontline area. The Ukrainian military has confirmed that they have recorded North Korean troops but have not engaged them in combat.
“Russia thinks that they are very powerful, but if we had wanted to seize their power plant, then we would have done so, we could have done so, but we didn’t want to,” said President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Interfax the Russian banking giant offers interest at as low as 2% and plans to extend its offer to Kherson oblast and Zaporizhzhia as soon as housing constructions begin there.
The denial comes just a day after Financial Times reported that Ukraine, Russia and other countries are resuming talks about stopping the strikes on their energy infrastructures after the talks abruptly ceased in August after Ukraine’s Kursk invasion.

This includes 1,560 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.
The city authorities reported that Russian drones attacked Kyiv overnight on October 30, 2010.
Peter Szijjarto, the Hungarian foreign minister, will be speaking at the Minsk Conference on Eurasian Security on October 31, Belarus.
The Financial Times reported that Ukraine and Russia have begun preliminary discussions to stop attacks on each other’s energy infrastructure.
