Russia Attacks Ukraine Hourly, Loses Troops
A group of Russian forces is attacking Ukraine every 10-15 minutes. They are using combined arms tactics to try and take back some Ukrainian territory before a US president takes office.
The Russian military has put around 45,000 to 50,000 troops in the area. This is according to Vadym Mysnyk, who speaks for the Siversk Operational-Tactical Group.
Russia has already taken back about half of the land it lost to Ukraine last August. This new attack is likely a response to concerns from Western countries that Russia will try and take land before January 20th.
The Russian forces are using a strategy where they start with armored attacks, then send in smaller infantry groups once their equipment is destroyed. These troops include special forces, airborne troops, and naval infantry.
Both sides have made gains in the area of Kursk Oblast. Footage shows that Ukrainian forces took back some ground to the southeast, while Russian forces retake positions they had lost.
Western intelligence suggests Russia will increase its use of kamikaze drones against Ukrainian positions over the next few days. This is likely because of high losses on both sides.
The President of Ukraine confirmed on November 11th that nearly 50,000 Russian troops are in the area. Mysnyk said these troops often get replaced due to heavy losses.
