**President Attends Funeral of Missing Persons**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, attended a special funeral for people who went missing during the civil war in the 1990s. The conflict was between different ethnic groups and international powers.
**12 Bodies Brought Back Home**
With help from the International Committee of the Red Cross, the bodies of 12 identified missing persons were brought back to their families. They were buried with military honors at cemeteries in their ancestral homes.

The civil war lasted from 1991 to 1993 and took place mainly in the regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. It was a violent conflict that led to both regions being controlled by separatist groups, rather than the government of Georgia.
