**President of Georgia Talks to France 24**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has spoken out about the country’s recent elections. She said that none of Georgia’s democratic partners recognized these elections and will instead send a technical mission to help prepare for new ones.
**Talking to Leaders Around the World**
President Zurabishvili plans to talk to other leaders in the coming days. On Tuesday, she’ll speak with Poland’s President Duda, and on Wednesday, she’ll meet with representatives of the European Commission.
**A Council with Civil Society and Parties**
The President also announced that she will form a council made up of civil society groups and political parties. She believes this group can provide stability in the country until new elections are held.
**Maintaining Legitimacy**
President Zurabishvili emphasized that her government is not an illegitimate power. Rather, it is a necessary transitional force to lead Georgia towards new elections.
