Thirteen people have been killed and 32 injured in Russian shelling in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia. The attack happened on Wednesday at about 16:00 local time.
The regional head, Ivan Fedorov, said that two guided aerial bombs hit residential buildings. He called it a “cynical” attack by Russia.

Videos and images have been shared online showing the aftermath of the shelling. First responders were seen treating casualties on the roadside, while several vehicles were on fire. A tram had its windows shattered.
One video showed two minibuses with their windows blown out and people injured lying amidst rubble and debris on the road.
**President Zelensky Reacts**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for his allies to put pressure on Russia “for its terror”. He said that launching aerial bombs on a city is one of the most cruel things that can happen, knowing that ordinary civilians will suffer.
He appealed to Ukraine’s allies for more support, saying that only through strength can such a war be ended with a lasting peace.
